Here the leggings are out. Bright colors. Big belts...I am waiting for the scary hair.

The other night while my hubby was djing there were 4 women and they looked like the popped out of 1987. It scared me. They were in their 20's.

I am 40 and was thinking OMG don't bring those fashion statements back please!!

Anyone seeing the 80s fashion sneaking back in out there yet?

Nope, still stuck in the 50's. Hair styles, shoes, clothing....saw a guy with Elvis side burns and hair the other day...thought I was going to have a wreck.

    Enjoy it,

I was once told that if you wore it the first time around, you should not wear it the second time around (ie, when they call it "retro")

Although I'm digging some of the retro clothes I've seen lately!~

While doing some Christmas shopping, I noticed leg warmers for sale in Target and thought, didn't those go "out" in the early 90's. Apparently they are coming back, scary!

Oh yeah, we bought leg warmers for most everyone over the age of 60 from Bed Bath and Beyond this year. They were real fuzzy and each person is delighted. The teen and I bought one for each of us and if we ever get snow again they will come in handy.

We are way into retro. Sometimes we drive to Durham for those shops. Love that the styles from the 60's and 70's are back. The teen has a tapestry in her room and seems like she wants to raid my closet now....um, no....my old tee shirts are vintage and I don't want stains on my items. I did let her borrow some purses and jackets and I thought she looked awesome. Of course I did, they were my clothes. Remember the coats with fringe? Still have a few...teen's not brave enough for those yet.

I even have some flapper clothes that were passed down. Hey, a girl cannot have too many items. Caps and all.

Oh, Come On, dont be ashamed to admit it!! You know you all used the Rave #4 hairspray and teased the life out of your hair to get it as big and poofy as possible. Then you put on electric blue eyeshadow, shoulder duster earrings, a rock watch and an extra set of shoulder pads in your shirt, jumped in the DeLorean, cranked up the Duran Duran and went out clubbing. (at least that is what I did in the mid-late 80's...complete with the DeLorean!) And you LOVED every minute of it! I liked the 80's fashions, at least people looked like they put some effort into trying to look good, better than the grunge look of the 90's....stringy hair and baggy ripped clothes, yuck!!!

    Well, since I'm 4! almost 38
I REALLY hope the 80's style aren't coming back.

Just watch what NOT to wear and we'll all be fine!

I was looking for sweaters for DD at TArget the other night. Some of them were very long and I think meant to go with the capri leggings-that is fine but please no stirrup pants.

Was a specialty car that was possibly one of the first with the wing doors...
Then Delorean himself got caught up in the cocaine buisness and the rest is history.

The car was ahead of its time...

My 13 yr old DD bought a pair of acid washed pink skinny jeans.

I would have worn those same jeans when I was 13.

    Help us all, lol.....

Ever see the "Back to the future" movies? The car was a DeLorean.

There are a couple floating around this area. I saw one at Southpoint Mall and another at Crabtree. Different license plates is how I knew they were different cars. One was a NC custom plate with a 'stainless steel' reference and the other NC plate had a 'future' reference.

There are a couple of mid 60s Shelby repros too ... at least I hope they are repros since they are in parking lots.

Didn't Crockett or Tubbs drive a Delorean?

Crocket drove a 'Ferrari' and Tubbs an old Caddie. The first car was really a modified Corvette made up to look like a Ferrari, but they were given two or three Testarosas for the later shows.
