:iagree: 2008 has been a great year! I can only wish that 2009 is the same if not better. One thing I want to improve on is getting outside more, and walking more, we have slacked on that the past few months!
2008 was a great year for my family. I'm not talking finances, money or anything of that sort. We just had a good "family" year. My resolution for 2009 is to make a positive impact in as many lives as I can. Whether it be through friendship, volunteering, "pass by" conversations, or working with the youngins ..... 5 minutes of my time can last a lifetime for some.
hmmm go the the gym more, be a better person. yep same as last year, still working on both of those.
My New Years Resolutions...hmmm... Quit smoking... AGAIN!!! (darn stress.... :x) Get my new business up and running successfully!! Keep a positive outlook!!
I am organized, but to be MORE organized. Complete home projects (must get dh on board with this one). Save money as college is right around the corner! Go to more concerts! Ditch the weight i have gained since before thanksgiving.
1) Cut back on my alcohol intake to once a week tops 2) Go on a "spending diet" and only buy something if we NEED it 3) Think positive (hard to do around here, Shar) 4) Organize my home (starting NYD) 5) Stress less (and find other outlets for it that are not bad for my health like drinking) 6) Stand up for myself better
I'm not making any formal resolutions....................then I won't have to feel bad when I invariably don't live up to expectations. 8)
HUGHT AND MAMA APE I'M WITH YOU ON THAT!! IT'S GETTING TOUGHER AND TOUGHER NOW!! THE ECONOMY IS IN ROUGH SHAPE, MONEY IS REAL SHORT. I JUST WISH YOU ALL A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR AND DON'T HAVE ANY RESOLUTIONS. BE SAFE!! ANNE:nopity::nopity:
2008 for me was a tough year. It started out with pink eye which turned into an infected cornea and eventually losing temporarily losing sight in one eye. Took about 3 months for my vision to come back. Shortly after that I went to the Dr with a tummy ache and ended up having surgery and in the hospital for 10 days and out of work for 2 months so I spent half the year sick and recovering. Fortunately, its ending on a happy note. 2009 I plan to stay healthy, exercise more, continue making my house a home and getting my girls through another year of college.
I plan to be 5% nicer in 2009 and I resolve not to give up fast food because I need to do my part to keep McDonald's from needing a bailout. I also plan to STOP helping people who won't help themselves. I also plan to not smoke or drink (which I don't do anyway) so it won't be too hard to keep that one! Hope everyone has a very happy new year!
One more . . . I resolve to stop eating lima beans at my mama's house. If you read the "just for laughs" thread you will know why :jester:
Well not sure if this is a new years resolution cause I know if you make it one it won't work. But, a few months ago me and my sister said we would stop smoking. Reason being a work insurance is going way way up if we do smoke. Savings of almost 70 bucks a month. So I need to stop smoking lol. Not sure on when? Sheri
