I'm not a big reality TV watcher but some how this fall I got hooked on watching Biggest Loser. I was researching something totally unrelated this morning and it lead me to information about one of the contestants from next season (starting Jan. 6th). He is from Willow Springs. He is being promoted as the contestant with the highest starting weight ever on the show. So now I have to watch next season to cheer on this local teen. http://www.dingorue.com/2008/12/27/daniel-wright-biggest-loser-couples-2/
I love to see the before and after of the contestants. I used to watch the whole show until I got DVR. Now I skip all the drama and sales pitches.
I'll be cheering him on... watch an excerpt of this interview video and I lost it when he got emotional. I want him to win!!! But at the very least get healthy. :hurray:
We were eating lunch at Joyce's (downtown Fuquay) and they came in to film him eating there. We were in the way of the shot and they asked us to sign releases to be in the show. We declined. They had to wait till we left. They seemed a bit mad because he had to wait outside to make his entrance until we left. Seemed a bit odd to me that he was eating in one of the areas greatest greasy spoon buffets??????
I love this show and have watched every season so far. I might have missed a few shows here and there. I didn't care for Heba and Ed at all and the way they treated people. I hope this young kid makes NC proud!!! Sheri
They do some "before" filming for the first episode and splice it in here and there in later episodes.
I sincerely disliked that couple! Wasn't nuts over Vicky and Brady either - they were 4 nasty, mean-hearted people. (I don't think Bob (their trainer) really had a lot of love for them either by some of the comments he made - and he has never been like that before)
I so agree, I'm glad they lost the weight..but I'm also very glad they didn't win. Very hateful people. Sheri
For those who watch: In the game's first twist of the new season, only the challenge and weigh-in winners, the Brown and Black Teams, were able to stay at the ranch. The nine other teams were forced to pick one member to stay at the ranch and one member to compete at home for the next 30 days. The kicker: if the player at the ranch gets eliminated, his or her partner is automatically out of the game, too.
I did not like that twist I think its really unfair after just the first week. I hope they dont do this again on another season..
As I posted on the other thread..two very nice guys. Daniel was the ring bearer at my daughters wedding on Thanksgiving weekend and David shot the video of the wedding and reception. Saw David last night and he is looking great!!
