FYI. The Cleveland Draft House will be open at 6:00 the evening of the 25th. Only the bar side will be open and the late night menu will be offered. Hope this helps.

This thread is why I tell everyone with kids going to buy certain "kids books" to look at what they are buying closely and the background behind it.

Just saying that one's background/beliefs may influence the way he or she writes kids books. Thats all I'll say. Carry on.

Oh, I see - Jewish people are less acceptable than Christians as authors of children's books? Whether or not the books promote any particular view of religion?

EVERYONES backgrounds and beliefs influence them to some degree.

I suppose only people in sterile plastic bubbles should write books for children? Madonna write books for kids and even though I personally think she's a degenerate ho, I doubt her books for kids reflect that.

LOL that explains it well...:jester: What does kids books have to do with eateries open on Christmas... I'm a little lost, but no surprise there.

  14. Sherry just to let you know, me being of the Jewish faith, I can not remember the last time I had Chinese food on Christmas day. It would have to be back in the early 60's. With that being said, when I go home to Florida for the holidays our family usually has Bagels and cream cheese and all the atypical 'Jewish' food....ie.. lox, whitefish...etc. And we sit eating while opening Christmas gifts. Heck if Jesus showed up he would probably of fixed himself a bagel with a schmear. :) and for dinner usually turkey.

Heck this year even my mom bought herself a Christmas tree ...aka...Hanukah bush.

Though this year I did not go home for the holiday's. I went out for a late breakfast with a friend. We had gone to the Waffle house. I could not believe how packed that place was. I had a waffle and a double size of hash browns, smothered, and covered. mmmmm love their hash browns.

PS where are there any good Chinese resturants in the 4042 area? Not the buffet style but the sit down and order off the menu style. Thanks

My son has really enjoyed reading a couple of the books that seem to be in question. Both the books & the author seem kid-friendly, enjoyable & entertaining. From what I've seen, the author appears to be involved regularly in efforts to make the schools, community & world a better place for us all ... seems to me to be a wonderful background for one who chooses to write kids books?
