Here is a map I found with the proposed Timber Dr. extension in Garner http://www.hunterlane.com/data/timber-place/neighbors.pdf This document (dated Oct. 2008) shows NCDOT has it slated for construction in fiscal years 2010-2012. http://www.ncdot.org/planning/development/TIP/TIP/agenda/pdf/N1008.pdf This will be a nice short cut from hwy 50 to White Oak.
What is the purpose of a traffic light on New Bethel and 50 Hwy. It isn't busy there anymore, now that you can't take New Bethel all the way to Cornwallis Rd., they should really open that road back up again.
Have you ever tried to make a left turn out of there? With all the traffic on 50 and the park and the new subdivisions on New Bethel, its VERY hard and dangerous to get out there, esp during peak times.
