Anyone ever been to Cleveland Family Health on Shipwash Dr? The Doc there is Dr. Janet Bowen. Any thoughts? If I have posted this before I am sorry, can't remember.
No one ever heard of this place??? This is my assigned medical doctor, and no one has ever heard of them? Oh boy this stinks.
Well the attached link offers a free Physicians Report on her capabilities. Don't know how legitimate it is, but it is something.
I have never seen her at this location but I did see her once at another office - several years ago before she opened this practice and I can't remember exactly where it was. My memory is poor on those facts but the thing that does stand out in my mind was that the office was not too clean, she didn't seem too tidy either and had on a sleeveless blouse and all I could see was her bushy arm pit hair. Never went back. I cannot comment on anything recent regarding her as this has been several years ago before she opened this office. However, I'm certain that it is the same doctor - some things you can NEVER forget !
I can tell you all about her. I wouldn't take my dog to her. She is the absolute worst doctor I have ever seen and her office staff are a bunch of IDIOTS. Whatever you do, stay far away from this lady.

I used to go to her and now prefer to go to the Minute Clinic. It is impossible to get a sick appointment. The office staff is not helpful and many things have been "lost." My other family members have not had a good experiences either, so my vote is no.
I second Benson Area Medical Center. When asking for an appt, I would ask for Dr. Lapinskes. He is very nice and caring. Good luck
:iagree: My last straw with her was when she called me a liar. She swore up and down that I had NOT called her office and left THREE messages on the answering machine just because her office lady said she didn't get the messages. That was it! Not to mention that the armpit hair was disgusting.
same experience here, DH went one time, i was with him and we seriously will never go there, not only did she misdiagnose the problem and go all out wanting to write scripts but she took a whole 3 minutes to decide what the problem was:roll:
So shes maybe German and don't shave, you going to judge her on that. Maybe you thought you called but was mistaken and really didn't. Did she come flat out and say look Frosty you are a liar and your carrot is growing... Idea... keep lying and you'll find that nine inches.:jester:
BARF! I so have to find another doctor, cause that one ain't it! My son goes to Horizon, maybe I can get on there.... I love the Docs over there.
I don't care who or what she is . . . having hair under your arms that is long enough to braid into dreads is just nasty. Put on a long sleeve shirt for God's sake. I am POSITIVE I called the right place because I was able to recite her answering machine message word for word. I called 3 different times over 2 days because I was out of a very important medicine that I should not run out of. I ended up having to leave work early and stop by there because they would not answer the phones. They would not write me a refill or give me a sample of the medicine because they said I needed to see her but she wasn't available until the next day. When I finally got in to see her she told me that there was no way possible that I had left 3 messages and they had not received them. I called bulls&&& and got my prescription and never went back.
I highly recommend Dr. Greg Pleasants at Garner Family Medicine. I have been going to him for years and I think he is just the greatest thing since sliced bread!
I've been to see her a few times. I found her to be professional and knowledgable. She spent alot of time with me and explained things in detail. I did not notice her pits, I did notice her dress was more casual, but the time she spent with me and her demeanor made up for it.
You were lucky, seriously when DH went, and you have seen how laid back he is, he was shocked that she walked in, asked what hurt, and wrote 2 prescriptions and walked out without even checking him.
