Hello everyone! Once again I'm coming to ask for something.

My sister has a granddaughter and grandson that need clothes bad. Their parents are POS's. :? Dad is currently in jail on multiple charges and mother is cracked out. The "other grandmother" is currently passed out on the couch drunk. Yes, I'm afraid I know these people as embarrassing as it is.:oops:

The little girl was sent home today from school because she didn't have the proper clothing. It's below freezing outside and she went to school in shorts.

Does anyone have any winter clothing for girls 5T-6T or boys 3T that they were planning taking to Goodwill? Old coats that don't fit your kids anymore? It does not have to be new at all... I'm just trying to get them some clothing to stay warm. I've already called to have their electric bill paid myself so the kids will have heat, but I cannot afford to buy clothes too.:cry:

    Help... again.... pleaseeeeeeee. :grouphug:

Sometimes I wish I could go snatch them up and raise them, but my whole family would be in the poor house if I did that. My sister and I both have a hard time dealing with this situation, but try to do all we can for the kids.

I have several things for the 3T boy including coats. Let me know if you want them. I will be dropping my kids off at Westview tomorrow morning if you want to meet me.

Red I am so sorry we didn't have anything. I thought we had some hoodies but they were too big. All we had was size 8's. Good luck.

I might have some clothes for the little girl, and I have a jacket. It's not in the best shape, but it's warm. It was handed down to my daughter and we were just going to use it for when she went out to play, but she has another one, and we would be glad to give it to someone that doesn't have one at all! Poor baby! I'll go look through the clothes right now and pm you if I find anything.

I'm going to check on the 3T stuff. It's the size my son just grew out of.

Have you checked the Goodwill here in Clayton? I work near there, if you want to stop by, I can give you a little $$ to help out. I only have boy clothes and nothing in those sizes.

Hey KD - My sister and I were talking about visiting one or 2 of the Goodwill Stores or maybe even Basic Needs this weekend. Cleo dropped off a bag of clothes for the little girl that will help a lot, but we'd still like to get a couple more sweaters etc for her. Still don't have anything for the boy so hopefully we'll be able to find a lot for a little, know what I mean.

I'm just so p*ssed at this situation. :x We're going Sunday to take what we're able to collect and are seriously going to ask about adoption. I know it's a touchy subject / situation, but I have a married couple who are good friends of mine and unable to have children that would give everything they have to adopt these 2 kids and give them what they deserve!!!!:grouphug: I'm sure the mom & dad will hate me after I bring it up, but I have to say something. :? ok, rant over ......

You have to do what is best for the children, they are the MOST important thing in all this. But you knew that already:grouphug:.................I'm serious about the donation. If you have paypal, PM me and I'll send it. I understand where you are coming from, as you know, I have POS sister who doesn't do right by her children either. Luckily, that issue has been resolved for the time being, but Karma is definitley going to bite her in the butt eventually.

Hey ya'll. Couple wonderful women are dropping off some clothes today between 3:30 - 4:00. I'll see what we have after that and then let every one know if any donations will be needed for a trip to Basic Needs and/or Goodwill tomorrow.

We plan on getting it all together to take on Sunday. The little girl had to stay home today from school because she didn't have winter stuff so I know she will be very tickled when she gets "new" warm clothes on Sunday.

Will keep everyone posted! Thank you everyone!

    Smooches!

    UPDATE

Morning everyone! Thank you to KDC and the ever so hardarse (NOT!) :rolleyes:Seabee who donated money!!! I was able to go to Basic Needs yesterday, which by the way is an AWESOME place! Purchased 9 outfits for the little boy and 3 for the girl (had more donations for her), 2 coats and 3 sets of PJ's. Got them all washed up yesterday and we're off to Bear Grass... yes that is the actual name of the podunk town we'll b traveling too.

Of course I call it Bear grASS LOLOLOL... growing up there in the summers with my granny are some of the best days I'll never forget with creeks you could actually swing from the vines and swim in, farm land galore, 4-wheelers, the corner store where you bought pop and $.05 candy. Got chased up trees by huge hogs , caught crawdads and turtles to keep them as "pets." Sadly those days are gone and now this once innocent town has been ravished by the meth/crack craze :x.

My sister and BIL have thought long and hard, cried, discussed and cried some more, but have decided to try and get custody of the kids. :hurray::hurray: I have to say I am so proud of her. She has never had the desire to have kids, but has always loved her grandbabies (by marriage) and her wonderful nephews (my boys). They know they can raise these 2 kids and keep them safe. So please everyone pray that this can happen. Pray for the babies and pray for patience, resilience and guidance for my sister and BIL.

OK, LONG update, but I wanted to tell you guys everything I could. You've done so much to help and I cannot thank you enough for once again proving that 4042 ROCKS. LOVE YOU and lots of love!:grouphug::grouphug:
