Anyone having problems with Mozilla? I was able to use it earlier today but not now. Am having to use Explorer....yulk. :ack: Sherry
Had Firefox as a alternate browser up till Saturday. My firefox did a self update on Saturday and went to crap after that, haven't used it since. Craig
Im still using Firefox 2.* I installed 3.0 when it came out and hated it so i had to uninstall and reinstall 2.* which i will be sticking with. Do not like Explorer.
Well, I am unsure what is happening with Mozilla on my end. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling and it still acts up. Having to use Explorer.... Hopefully, it will fix itself or I will do what Grinder did. Sherry
Fully loaded IE 7 here at work. Home currently is a stripped down, no bells/whistles/addons IE 6.0 for the moment. Thinking of downloading and trying Opera, as it seems to get great reviews. Craig
Man, I am having major problems on my computer and it is new (bought it in Dec). Mozilla keeps not responding today, cannot get the computer to recognize the iPod and it will not shut down. Help! I will post this on the PC Help Forum later if someone cannot help. Thanks, Sherry
I'm having no problems - never do with Firefox - maybe George Bush took a position there now that he's out of office and is going after Sherry
Actually it might be the computer because Explorer is now messing up and when I try to shut down after about 15 minutes it still shows I am shutting down. Bought the computer in Dec and the teen's is the same as mine and hers is working fine.I was trying to hook up an iPod and it told me I had to uninstall programs, which I did and reinstall from the disk, which I did, and the computer does not recognize the iPod and now I'm having stupid problems.Technically challenged on my end. Should I do a restore? Help. Sherry P.S. I am on and off as the computer keeps showing Not Responding on both Mozilla and Explorer.
Oh, no...the Windows software on my new computer does not have the automatic backup, I don't think. I was going to do a restore and now I don't have a restore point. Help, Sherry
While I'm no geek by any means, I've had 3 new pcs since I got my iPod and never had to uninstall anything in order to sync them to each other. Since it is so new, why not just do a complete system restore - it's not like years worth of stuff was on it and get yourself a couple flash drives or discs and start backing up your stuff. One of the tech people might advise you otherwise, but they are likely all out shoveling snow.
Well, it took me forever to find where Restore was only to be told I had not done a backup. After the system shut down it came back up and a message asked me when I wanted to restore. The oldest date was the last update from Microsoft so I have done that. We'll see what happens. I still cannot get out on Mozilla. So, you did not have to do anything with an older iPod and it just did a sync for you right away? Even my teen is having a hard time each time the teen plugs the iPod in. I hate new things! When I get this back up and running right I am going to back it up to MyBook because I just don't understand what is going on. The old system automatically did restore points but this one doesn't seem to even though I set it up to do it. Technically challenged, Sherry
Very odd that you restored and couldn't load Mozilla. Maybe do a complete restore to factory specs. With my iPod, a Nano, it's almost 4 yrs old now - all I did was plug it in and a second or two later the iPod screen came up and asked me if I wanted to sync "Vickies iPod" (how I've named mine) with this computer - I answered yes and it did it's thing. Smooth as silk - a no-brainer and I had my manuals all out and ready for a headache - was pleasantly supplied, as I tend to be technically challenged at times. Show me how to do something once and I can do it - depend solely on reading a manual, it's an Insert tab A and throw away deal at times, as technical terms I'm not familiar with go right over my head. Raised in the wrong era, but finding my way through the technical world inch by inch. GL
I nor the teen have ever had an iPod not sync. I believe it is the cable. Naturally, I bought two but we cannot find the second one. I was finally able to restore late last night but because this stupid software is the newer version of Windows I was having a hard time finding a restore point and even then it was not doing what I needed. Finally have Mozilla and all else working but I have yet to try to sync the iPod. I am going to do a backup to MyBook before I do anything else. Thanks for helping....I am so technically challenged. This software does make items move quicker but trying to learn how much I can do with it is frustrating. Thanks, Sherry
