they are owned by the same company...and she did radio while sherry was out on maternity or something, and made no secret on how much she loved it. I wish her the best. I like her a lot.
WRAL and Bill and what used to be Sherry have a little thing each morning at about 6:55 a.m. Bill came on and said they have big news, made the announcement and Linda said she filled in a while back and got into it so much she started thinking about radio. Very cool - I like her. I think they said that Kelsey is going to take Linda's job.
I saw that too! Bill should be very happy as they are always teasing him about having 'a thing' for Linda..
i dont know if anyone else knows this or not.. but Kelsey is married to another local radio host Dave (? Kent), morning show on 93.9 - KissFM
I met Linda at a Pullen Park kids birthday party a few years ago. She is TALL! About 6' or so! and ultra nice. I hope Radio is a better fit for her & having a family. Best of Luck!
Strange for a TV personality to go to radio. I guess WRAL-TV has plenty of fill-in anchors to handle the job though. I'm really surprised that Time-Warner 14's Claudine Chalfant hasn't been picked up by CNN by now. She has a great screen presence and delivers the news about as professionally as you'd here on one of the national news channel.
I think Lynda played basketball at the University of Mizzou. My wife used to listen to Sherri all the time and I found her to be incredibly arrogant like a typical yankee. Like anyone gives a **** what she thinks of our weather, driving habits, accents and food. Good riddance.
I remember Sherry pronouncing Andy Griffith as "Griffin." She went on to say she wasn't that much of a fan of the Andy Griffith Show. Kinda reminds me of that Confederate Railroad song. "She likes Elvis; She likes Andy...so she's fine and dandy to me." Just goes to show she won't one of us. :jester: Loveland will be a good replacement though. Her voice tone is similar...maybe a bit deeper. She'll probably fit right in.
Sherri wasn't all that attractive either......her face had enough grease to make one think she had been bobbing for french fries.
