Thanks for posting the links and all. We have been going through items in our pantry and kitchen. Sherry
Has anyone heard how far back this recall goes? Reason I ask is bc i bought those Austin peanut butter crackers from BJs back in aug/sept and i still have some left. I've gone through at least half the box and havent died. wouldn't you think it's ok to finish it?
I can't give you an exact date, but I heard it took a while to put all the pieces together. If I was you I would go on the cautious side. Having been through a number of packaging facilities I often see product get intermingled from different production lines and you also don't know when one lot of peanut product started and one ended. Short answer - You might only have one package of bad product in that whole bulk container.
I would think they are ok, if you'd eaten half the box... however, my rule is about food in general and its quality/freshness: When in doubt, throw it out.
I had a box of them as well, my children had eaten a little more than half of the packages but I threw it out to be on the safe side....you never know---it only takes one to screw up the bunch!!
Thanks! Glad my Blue Bunny bunny tracks ice cream was not on the list. I was surprised to see pet food on there.
Hooray for a local company They say that you are not in any jeopardy because they make their own Peanut Butter. Which is a relief because we have about a case of them. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/business/story/481665.html
Don't throw them away. Bring them back to the food store for a refund. Even if you don't have the receipt they should give you a refund because it is on the recall list.
I sincerely hope, the area schools are getting rid of all the peanut butter products in the school. jic:?
