I don't know how many times I have had to go Inside after recieving a wrong order at local drive throughs, taco bell in clayton and burgerking also in clayton seem to be the worst, Tonight ordered a tendergill No mayop and got a fish sandwich with pickles???? told lady at window and she oppologized then had to tell the non english speaking worker what a tendergrill was 3 times before she got it ........ok if your gonna work here at least learn the menu IN ENGLISH, come on this makes me very angry and wastes time and not to mention food that gets tossed in trash cause they refuse to learn english, does this bother anyone else, I have nothing against people from other places living and working in the united states but if my great grandparents had to learn the language why shouldn't they???? I am tired of having to speek slowly and repete everything because someone doesn't understand english, grrrrrrrrrrr:twisted: In taco bell I dont know what the hell I got one day instead of a crunchy taco no sauce stood there while 3 spanish speeking workers agrued and complained, because they had to redo the order, they should be thankful to have a job many people I know don't

Fast food service, in general, is simply in decline. You find it working like it should at many places, but others are just hopelessly plagued by it. One of my biggest complaints is when a fast food joint installs a menu that lists your order and then the thing is more often than not, out of order.

I'll have to hand it to McDonalds. For the volume of business they do, most of them seem pretty good at getting orders right, processing them quickly, and delivering consistency which is the fundamentals of the fast food business. I'm not big on McD's food because of its blandness (breakfast sandwiches excluded) but you can see the well oiled machine that they are most of the time. Usually you can expect one McD's to deliver about as well as the next. Their chief rival, Burger King, lacks comparably. Some of their restaurants are just as good while quite often you'll find another restaurant a few miles down the road that is a hopeless case.

Incompetence isn't limited to people with language bariers. I've had it with the McDonalds @ 4042. They've screwed up my order more times than I can count. It's never a large order or anything complicated, but if I do use the drive-thru, I don't move until I check the order. I suspect the problem is they tend to put the newer folks taking the orders at the drive-thru, and if ask for anything out of the norm, they don't know how to properly ring it up and it blows their mind. I avoid them now and go elsewhere.

I won't go there anymore. I have NEVER gotten a correct order there. The only other one that is consistently bad is the KFC/Taco Bell @ 210. You HAVE to go in there as well to get a correct order.

Chick-fil-a is hands down the best! I can't remember ever getting an order messed up from them and they are about the only fast food we will eat. Dh likes Taco Bell and I know they mess his orders up quite frequently. I just wish we had a Chick-fil-a close by!

I had to give my order three times at Bojangles. A gravy biscuit, a ham biscuit and two cokes. How hard is that?
We were INSIDE, not in the drive through.

You just have to take it in stride. A couple years ago, we had that problem at a drive through, I can't even remember where but it wasn't around here. I think DH gave our order at least 10 times and it got to the point where I was pretty sure someone was pointing a hidden camera at us. It got to be THAT funny. At first it was irritating, then it got hilarious. We never order anything "special" at the drive through, because they aren't going to get it right anyway nine times out of 10. I don't like cheese on burgers, I order without cheese, and 90% of the time, I get cheese anyway. :?

I to never drive away before checking, when i was a teen and that was quite a while ago I worked a drive through at Roy Rogers, not even in bussiness any longer I don't think (i don't know if they were here down south but served the usual roast beef sandwiches and fried chicken) anyway it really isn't that difficult, the menu items are on the keys, even the no/mayo, no lettuce ect.......... I think Mcdonalds in clayton on 70 does well , as does the one here off 42, it isn't my favorite food, I like cook out alot. I just have an issue when people don't learn english well enough to do their job properly learn the difference between CHICKEN, and FISH in english please ........it would stop alot of accidents, having to repete an order over and over and over again when your asking for something simple and they don't understand english is fustraighting to me :banghead:, not to be mean but it gets old (sometimes funny) Hi C and T iced tea do sound alike. but a tendergrill, and a fish sandwich ??????????? I guess I should cook more meals huh? LOL:jester:

That is one reason I love CookOut! They have never messed up on our orders! They are polite, they act like they appreciate your business (unlike some of the other burger joints that seem like you are annoying them by wanting to place an order) and they get the order correct!

Isn't that why they have the order display? So you can verify what you've ordered?

Honestly - I very rarely eat fast food, after reading all this, I'm glad!

true true WHEN they are working some places don't have the insides to their displays (asuming vandalism perhaps?) so nothing shows but blackness, so ya thats not very helpful, still i have corrected the order when its shown up on screen and they say ya ya i know diet coke not sprite we got it.....but never change it on screen and guess what? um ya

For the most part I have stopped going to the fast food places. Several reasons for me, language problem, receiving wrong food, and these places are just not the cleanest to me, and since I have been watching what I eat this food is just unhealthy.
