I want to thank all of you who have been praying for us. My husband is home for now. He is going to go back for surgery and we are hoping that he makes a quick recovery. He has diverticulitis and we had no idea about it until he had to go to the ER and there they told us that he had it and it was very infected and had perforated through his intestine. He will be having surgery to remove that part of the intestine. We know he will be fine, the recovery will be rough but he will be fine. Thank you all so very much.
    Yours truly,

My MIL just had that surgery and all those symptoms. If it's any consolation she recovered well and the surgery went so well the doctor said, "it was so routine it was boring." Ha! Will keep him in my prayers!

My husband had the exact same thing. He had 8" of his colon removed in 2007 and he did just fine. His was so bad that it had "attacked" his appendix and literally moved it to a place where the doctor said he would have never looked for it. Luckily when they opened him up and saw the huge mass they looked closer to discover it was really his appendix.

He can eat anything he wants to now.

I was just hospitalized with diverticulitis in July. Mine was not as bad and I only had tiny perforations so I was able to avoid surgery unless I have another attack. My sister did have the surgery last year and she breezed through it and is fine now. I will continue to pray for your husband for an uneventful surgery and quick recovery.
