THAT is why they are in trouble now.... so much expense in buying up your neighbor's land.

    Good Riddance, Blockbuster.

So much for no more late fees. They did away with that, and I was told by the clerk (in between bites of her lunch - and talking with her mouth full - at the registers) "That's what the customers wanted". I said "Really? They want to only be able to keep a movie for 3 days, and then be charged another rental fee after having a year of no late fees?" She said "Yes, they were unable to find the movies they wanted" As I looked around the store, and observed all of the in stock new releases and commented it looked the same as before and I had never had trouble finding movies she suggested I fill out a customer comment card and let Blockbuster know how I felt. I did, I let them know how I felt about their clerk.

I had a Blockbuster online account, and I put it on hold and then cancelled it over the summer. When I went to resume it, the choices were WAY different. The prices had gone up, and the amount of movies you could get had gone down. There was also no more 2 free new release or game rental coupons with the membership that was closest to what I had had before, and no more unlimited store rentals with a returned mail in movie. I sent them an inquiry explaining how long I had been a member and asked for a customer rentention deal - my same plan as before. No dice. In this case, they did not figure out how to not alienate their customer. In fact, I am no longer one of their customers.

Border's didn't make the list? Well I think Thrifty is gone, as noted they are primarily the leisure crowd, I was the last of the businessmen I know to use them and that was probably for three rental s last year.

Is Border's rumored to be in trouble too? I actually prefer them over Barnes and Noble.

I pray and hope that HH Gregg Goes Belly Up. This is the WORST company to ever do business and they deserve to close A.S.A.P.

Really?? Why? I thought they were supposed to be the best as far as electronics and appliances, with specially trained staff. I've never been there but they sounded neat.

HH Gregg - I had to return the same microwave 4 times to that store and finally wound up just getting my money back and going somewhere else. All four were defective. There has been suggestions they deal in second hand stuff. Just my experience and I am in no way accusing them of it.
