Does anyone know of a stomach virus going around? My poor little 4 yr old has one that the nurse at the doctor's office said is viral and could last up to 4 days. I was wondering if anyone else has had it and how long it lasted and symptoms. Thanks.
mine have it.....as long as they keep ibuprofen in them, they seem fine. achey, diarrhea and sore throat. Mine are 12 though, so they are a bit 'tougher' than a 4 year old. good luck!
I hope your kiddos feel better soon! My daughter's is just the stomach part, it started out Wed. night with vomiting, then changed to diarrhea, then around 3am this morning, she vomited again. She says her tummy hurts.
DH has got something, not real sure what. Flu-like symptoms and it jumped on him quick. I just hope he keeps it to himself. :?
Me and my oldest had it but he started out opposite. First it was diarrhea then the vomiting. He thought he was feeling better then he puked on aisle 7 in Food Lion. :ack: All I got was a loss of appetite and nausea for a week. We each had a low grade fever, under 100 ... lost about 3 or 4 lbs though :mrgreen: Then I caught this lovely cold. :neutral:
There is a bad stomach virus going around and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere a child had died due to it, I think here in North Carolina.

If I get a stomach viris I'm going to kill my self! :? Today is 3 weeks I've been coughing, blowing my nose etc... DH was sick for one week and now he's better? Go figure! :banghead:
My SO had it last week. Thankfully I didn't catch it but Im stuffy today and no voice. I've had a sore throat for about 3 days now.
I guarantee it's because YOUR day doesn't stop whe you are sick, but their's does. 8) So they get better faster while our illnesses linger on from lack of rest.
my kids have not puked yet....and if they do, I hope it'll be about 1 today...they'll need me to come get them on a Friday afternoon. 8)
