DD has a father/daughter dance Friday night and it is formal. She has a dress in her closet, but it is all white and she wore it not too long ago to another function that everyone has seen her wear. The dance is at her church, so I was wondering if by chance anyone had a dress that we might be able to borrow. It would probably need to be a size 14...not sure if she can wear a 12. I am going to look at Good Will tomorrow, (that is where we found this dress), but thought I would also check here too. If you do, that would be great and appreciated, but it not, that is ok too. Doesn't hurt to ask though. Thanks FF
Check nicoles closet too, they had a pretty good selection a few weeks back, although I did not look at sizes. Good luck!
FF, Deb's at Crabtree Mall has formals and cocktail dresses, very well priced. We picked up two for the teen for around $100.00 recently. Wish we could help but the size is not the same. Let me know if you need anything else, wrap, clutch, etc. We will be glad to share items. Sherry
If it isn't too far to drive, you might want to try Second Fling in Goldsboro. They are on Hwy 70 going in on the right. I lucked out and found a dress for dd when ds got married. It was the exact same dress I found at the Towne Shoppe when they were still in business and over $100 cheaper...It is a consignment shop and some items are new with tags still on them.
Sorry for not calling last night. I did nothing but sleep yesterday. I am still not feeling real well today. Just got up not too long ago.
I found DD a dress!!!! Found it at Good Will for $5! It is a deep burgandy and it looks fab on her. Then went to Shoe Show and found her a pair of shoes for less than $20. I am so excited. peppercorns ~ I am sorry for not calling. Like I had said, I had been sick for 2 days and today was the first day I felt halfway decent and knew I was running out of time, so went out looking. I will post pictures of her when I get them taken on Friday.
Thats great! So glad you were able to find something that you're both happy with and budget friendly too.
She loves the dress....well at first she didn't when I first pointed it out to her, but when she tried it on....Her eyes lit up and she loved it. I was so relieved that we found something she liked. She calls her shoes "Cinderella" shoes because they are silver and clear. Me friend is lending her a simple necklace and earings to go with it and to finish off the dress, she bought a pair of knee highs to wear under her dress. LOL She was so funny about it. She looked at me and said "Classy, huh?" and held the knee highs up.
