I just have to vent a bit because I just don't know what to do.....My daughter has a father/daughter dance tonight at her church. My husband could not get off of work and now we just get a call from my brother and he is not going to be able to go. DD is upstairs crying now because she doesn't have a "date" tonight and now does not want to go. I have offered to go put on slacks, put my hair up, put on one of DH shirts, tie, my boots (they are cowboy boots) and even draw a mustache (sp) and be her "date" and she just told me it wouldn't be the same. she feels I am mom and it doesn't matter if I dress up or not, I will still be mom. I called one of my friends and her husband won't be home until late tonight, so I am out of options. I am so heartbroken for her! She was so looking forward to this and now, I don't know what she is going to do. My poor baby...my heart is breaking for her.

Thanks H6 ~ Believe it or not I had thought about you but time was pressing and really do hate asking people last minute.

I did post pics of her in the neighborhood. She went by herself and she said she had a pretty good time.

She looked beautiful, if I do say so myself.

Awww, I'm sorry for her. But what a nice mommy she has. I hope she always appreciates you and learns to even more as she gets older.

I keep a tuxedo at the ready. And, of course, appropriate dress suits. Next time, don't hesitate. You should have our phone #'s. If not, holler and I'll PM them to you.

Hat, you are such a wonderful person. You are the first one to jump in when someone needs help and I think you are absolutely wonderful. I wish there were more folks like you in this world!

So glad it all worked out. I can almost feel her broken heart, but what a brave girl to go by herself. I am proud of her. Hat, you are awesome, and you do always seem to be ready to help. Thanks for being one of the good people that everyone can count on.

I will keep this in mind. I think I do have your #'s, but just in case, if you don't mind sending them to me again,

Thank you everyone for your kind words.
