Well I LOVE Walmart because these days it's all about saving $. I buy my groceries at the one in Fuquay but this one will be closer.

I'll never see my husband again once Game Stop opens and my daughter will probably be a fixture at Wally World.

The japanese place at 42 is called Yummi Japan and it absolutely ROCKS. They have GREAT food! I've been there twice this week already.

Oh and one more thing . . . if you like the Dollar Tree in clayton you would go nuts at the one in Smithfield. It is by far the biggest one I have ever been in.

I'll stay at Great Clips here at 40/42, there's a pretty cool chick that works there...that is, when I'm not running into her in Walmart or Lowes Foods! :jester:

Vehemently disagree with your finding that there are "none" in the area. China King, behind Hess/Smithfield Chicken is a good restaurant. We've always received excellent service and good food. And we're there about every 7-10 days.

If the buffet is as good as the new one in North Smithfield, in front of WM, they'll always be busy.

I'm happy that anyone is offering another eating option in the area.

Maybe in North Raleigh...even closer to White Oak...this area can't, won't support the types if business you seek.

To each his own. I've eaten there a few times, and the food sucked to me. But I'm spoiled.

What is the name? Is this the same one coming to Wal-Mart at 40/42?. I am looking for a good Chinese restaurant in this area. Peking Garden in north Raleigh is the best we have found.

I go there for the groceries, not the other "stuff", and it's all the same, whether you buy it in Walmart or Harris Teeter (for the most part). But a lot cheaper in Walmart, and I can't afford HT, or their specialty stuff right now.

I could not agree with you more... Let's go to Raleigh, Mom, to get some good food and buy American...
And another thing, Why can't we get a K & S Cafeteria or something similar? Does everything have to be fast food and processed? Can't even get a good country cooking type place out here in the country...

Ok I'm hungry now and gonna go to McDonald's...

Neither one of you will be the only ones at the grand opening. All of these whiners will be there also. It's very in vogue to bash Walmart. But when push comes to shove they will be there. Complaining the whole time but still there. Some people just aren't happy unless they are complaining. JMHO.

The mayor of Garner metioned in an article earlier this week that they have been talking too a develope about the area over aroud White Oak. Garner is looking for more up scale development retail and housing. And somewhere we heard that Applebee's maybe coming to 40/42. We personally would like all those you mentioned and Pei Wei, Five Guys, Chipotle, Fresh Market and Whole Foods.

:iagree: If you can find a store that doesn't sell stuff that's mostly made outside of the US, please let me know cause I want to shop there. Until then, I'll keep shopping Wally World and saving $.
