I am wondering if the horse which you saw was on Smith Road in Smithfield. I drive down that street every day on my way to Four Oaks, and for the longest time witnessed a horse dwindeling down to nothing. My heart broke each and every day. I also called the Humane Society. I often wonder of anything was done. This horse also died within the last few weeks. This family also has several dogs out in 20 degree as well as 100 degree weather. I keep waiting to see one of them on the side of the road after being struck by a car. One of them has puppies just about every 6-9 months. People like this should not have animals. In my opinion. I was actually told by a coworker that the woman (or maybe man) that lives there works as a Vet Tech. Very disheartening!

Rule #1 Don't ever take anything Seabee says too seriously. He is the resident :jester: and if you don't know that you could easily get ticked off. I know before I got to know him I got into with him. Ask him. He remembers

OP - Please update us all on the dog's status, if you can. Even though it is warming up, the high heat of the summer can be just as hard on a dog as the bitter cold. FYI - The golden rescue groups are very helpful.

HG - he still has some left. I'm with you on trying to rescue him. Maybe offer the owner some money or something but I do not even know where the doggy is located.
