http://www.dailyfinance.com/2009/03/13/six-flags-at-half-mast/ Six Flags Inc. (SIX) announced yesterday that , barring a significant restructuring, it is likely to go bankrupt this summer. Although this news came out after the close of the market, shares dropped 10 percent to 18 cents in electronic trading. This follows a 32 percent drop this year. In mid-day trading on Friday, SIX is a smidge over 14 cents.
maybe we should all put our monies together and gets us a theme park! :hurray:then we could all work there and all the peeps that dont have jobs on here, will. we will stimulate the economy.
I'm not surprised. In my opinion The Six Flags that I have been in to have been about three steps below Carowinds which in my opinion is about 10 steps below Busch Gardens, Disney and Hershey.
Depends on what you go to the parks for. If it's for the rides they all pale in comparison to Cedar Point. If it's to entertain your 4-15 year old children then Disney. If it's to experience what American's think other parts of the world are like then it's the Busch Garden's parks. Craig
What's wrong with Carowinds? I grew up in that park. I lived 10 minutes from there, so I lived at that park in the summer. Of course this was when it was owned by Paramount's too....and even before... The Borg Assimilator (sp?) is or at least was an awesome ride! Have not been in a while though... Busch Gardens rocks though....drink beer, ride rides, oh yeah I see that being a "hey ya'll watch this" scene:lol:
Work is for suckers. Actually, it was ALOT easier to get up and go sit at a desk all day than to run a household and care for children. Being a Domestic Goddess is the hardest job there is - but the pay is great!
Hopefully they'll stay open long enough that anyone who already purchased their season tickets will be able to use them...and of course hopefully they honor them after they file for bankruptcy protection. We bought our season passes earlier this year, and would hate to be out that money. We love Busch Gardens because there is lots of shade, but the hills can really kill you if you've got two in a stroller. Six Flags is more of an urban jungle. Not really my cup of tea, but the kids love it. They spend a ton of time hanging out on the lazy river in the waterpark.
