ok I know this has nothing to do with a dog or cat so forgive me. We are thinking of getting a few chickens no more than 3 , we havew a large fenced area seperate from where dogs are and a huge old dog house that my hubby said he can convert into a coop, he had chickens as a kid, me never, was wondering if any of you have experience in raising chickens. they will basicaly just be pets not raising for any other reason, maybe get somes eggs as bonus but basically my daughter has always wanted a chicken. so any helpfull advice, pros cons, would be appriciated, chicks come in early next month. thanks we decided to wait on the chickens, seems like alot of info and care in raising chicks, might wait a while ,dont want to get something i cant care for 100%. i know an lady who runs and animal rescue, might take in some unwanted hens. I have 3 huge hamsters now because of her. thanks for the help!
