We are filling out my son's registration form for 9th grade. He will be going into the ROTC program. There is the one in Fall and then the one in Spring which says Advanced. If we mark both is that considered 2 electives or 1? I need help!!! Thanks!
You could call the school to verify - but if its taken each semester then it should be counted as 2 separate electives. When they tack on 'advanced' then its considered a different class, also means they have to have the first one first in order to take the advanced class. (like pre-algebra and algebra)
I'm sorry but seriously I am confused. B/c wouldn't it be counted as 1 in the fall and 1 in the spring so that would mean he can pick one more elective? Dang it was never this hard when I was in school.
How many electives does he get to choose? DD had to choose like 4, I believe, which the school then assigned her 2 electives 1st semester and then 2 second semester. We had to pick all her classes she wanted to take for the school year. If you have questions, you can contact the HS and they will help you. It does get confusing.
The sheet says Choose 2 electives and 3 Alternatives. I want him in ROTC but he wants Health Team Relations also. He wants to be a dr some day. LOL Seriously I think at 13 he will change what he wants to be when he grows up about a million times. So in my opinion I think we need to do the ROTC for many reasons. Thank you for your help.
