I asked recently for any recommendations for a family doctor for myself a 45 year old man. I heard about Horizon Health care but not much else. Anyone have a recommendation?
On your first post I recommended Garner Internal Medicine in White Oak. I see Steven Turner. Jeffrey Breiner is also good and James McCann is a excellent PA. Turner and Breiner are Board Certified Internal Medicine Physicians. 773-1223 Do you have a problem or heard anything negative about Dr. Steven Turner? If not, I suggest you call for an appointment. I know many men that go there and they all are very pleased.
Both docs at Horizon are excellent. Dr Harris served in the Army, and is pretty close to being the equivalent of an athletic team physician. Both he and Dr Williams are well qualified physicians, personable, and easy to talk to.
I also go to Garner Family Practice but I would recommend Dr. Greg Pleasants. I wouldn't let Dr. Bagwell work on my dog. He almost killed my aunt a few years back.
I see dr. Pleasants over there. I have never found anyone incompetent but sometimes I get the feeling they are rushed and I don't get listened to. The front desk staff was rude to me recently when my son had an infected cyst and they blew me off when I asked for an appointment.
I have to agree with the feeling that they are rushed. The last 3 times I've been I've had to tell Dr. P that I wasn't finished with my questions. If it happens again I'm going to tell him about it. As long as I'm paying for 15 minutes of his time then I want 15 minutes, not 5.
I love Crumpler and Spivey but Brammar ruins it for me. He is an idiot. LONG story. Has to do with my mom.
