I used to be someone who would absolutely never buy a designer bag. Then 3 years ago my sister and I bought matching Coach bags for around $150. And three years later here I am with the SAME bag! It is by far the best quality purse I have ever owned. I get complimented on it constantly. I went with black, so it matches everything, is great for work, and doesn't go out of style. Only recently has it begun showing signs of wear, so I am ready to buy a new one. I used to spend $10-15 at Walmart or Target for a purse that would fall apart or get too dirty looking in a few months. Seriously, after 3 years, my Coach bag has paid for itself several times over. You get what you pay for. I have to work tomorrow, but I will probably try to sneak over Saturday morning. Evening when they're not having a big sale, that store is crazy packed!
my first designer was really diificult and now i most certainly do not regret it. i now have i think 8 coachs' and would love a burberry bag. i have always purchased designer but not in that price before and really appreciate the value and longevity of my purchases. it's much better than shoppoing for every season because it fell apart.
you know if your Coach bag looses a stitch or something you could show it to a manager and they may be able to send it in for a repair for $ 20 my freind did that and she had her bag for a very long time
good i thnk you deserve then PLUS they sound real cute and i think they've been on your mind since you saw them :hurray:
I used to buy designer bags not anymore. My black one came from Target 4 years ago AND has a little light in it! ($7) My brown one came from Belks about 9 years ago and got a Free wallet with it. (it wasn't supposed to) ($15) My Orange & white one came from "My Girlfriends Closet" (downtown Apex - owner's a friend of mine - 2nd hand store) & it was CHEAP, had it for about 3 years. ($15) Well, those are all the pocketbooks I have!:lol::lol: My prescription sunglasses are GUCCI! FIL is a rep for them and that was my b-day present last year from him. :grouphug: My regular glasses are Kate Spade, also from my FIL. LOVE HIM! Flip flops (1 pr) came from the Gap on sale for $3 about 5 years ago. Now boots and cute strapy shoes, I'll drop some benjamins! (maybe one day , I'll have A benjamin to drop just for me!) :?
My flip flops are from Lord and Taylor on clearance at the end of summer 3 years ago. So after 2 years of use they are shot and I am so bummed! I've done everything I can to make them last longer, including using silver sharpie to hide that they're falling apart.
Weekend before last and last week the Croc outlet had Croc flipflops for $4.99 I could not believe it........I think I bought 7 or 8 pair. Who could go wrong? You can't buy the knock offs that cheap at Walmart or Dollar General.
I do not discriminate against any purse. I have some from $20 on up to $100. The $100 ones I have had for years, of course. The cheaper ones, they usually go in the rotation pile after a year, depending on how they hold up. now shoes..... LOL...I will say I own 4 pair of Eliza B flip flops.....and one pair of Old Gringo Boots.....
I'm just not big on the purses or shoes, I do buy good tennis shoes and work shoes, but that is it. I guess if I had money to spend I would buy nicer things, like jeans and shorts. Now sunglasses, yes I wear very nice expensive ones! Helps when your parents have been in the sunglass business for 26 years!! :jester::jester: I have my cheaper pair that is around 50 bucks and then my Maui Jims that are close to 250. But I have had those going on 4 years. I think it's time for a new pair. Hmmm, birthday is today. Got to run by the parents store anyways on the way to JCPenny's today. hehe. Sheri
what store??? I do wear nice shades... Ray bans last several years, serengeti, and years ago Vaurnets... I'm due a new pair...
I have Maui Jim's too. I would not trade them for anything. I have had the MJ's for going on 4....LOVE THEM! as much time as I spend on the water and at the beach, there is no other.
They are the best! I have always had them since they have come out and my parents started to sell them. Polorized is the way to go. Sheri
i've had a problem for the past several years with sunglasses breaking me out. wonder if the more expensive ones would do that.
