Yankees. I grew up in another small town in NC and we always helped one another and waived whenever we saw each other. Folks actually cared about one another. When I moved here, I felt like I had moved to Jersey or something.
:iagree: Anyone on here no matter what happens would give the shirt off their backs to help another 4042er. That's how we roll!
lmao, you should have stayed for another:lol: Thanks for the kind words, i feel very blessed to have you, JAM, and you know as neighbors
There Seems to be a lot of this :evil:I agree with some of you. You would absolutely not believe my neighborhood.. We have feed my children who were hungry, taken them to church, helped out in "certain" family situations, etc. Hosted my sleepovers, etc. Never asked for anything in return. Now the kids do not speak to my child, the parents do not speak to me or my husband and one of my neighbors is a middle school teacher. If you ever get bored come to South Ridge on the weekend---I will not tell which cul-de-sac I am on but it will not be too hard to see the ugliness of neighbors. We will never confront the neighbors but we do feel bad for our child who has no one to play with. I think most people call it the mean girl syndrome, third girl out.
Don't know the whole story but children should always be included in play, sleepovers and such. Sorry to hear about the situation. People can be downright mean. Sherry
and its REALLY sad when the parents act this way! how will these kids ever learn how to behave or get along in society :banghead:
Our problem isn't mean neighbors. It's just lack of any one under 65. It's practically a retirement community. One neighbor does babysit her grand kids occasionally in the summer... I guess that's something...
