I think the worst is over, they are stopping the news coverage. I've got a few scratches from shoving one of the cats in her carrier. :?

Just heard from ABC the official word. All alerts have been cancelled. The storm has weakened. Thank God!!

If they weren't even expecting all this tonight, yet they are planning for severe weather tomorrow night, I hate to see what we are in store for then!! Everyone be safe and hunker down tomorrow night for a nice night indoors...no need to be out if you don't have to. I always think about the LEOs and their families in weather like this as my father was a firefighter for 30 years. Spent many severe weather nights cramped in a bathroom closet with mom and brother while dad was working 24hr shifts. Lived through the tornadoes that were spawned when Hugo came up through Charlotte and the Triad area back in 1989-not fun. Everyone stay safe!

i was at work last night and I asked my manager what we are suppose to do with this type of weather and he was like I don't know and started laughing.
I thought he was joking and he wasn't. He said grab a fashlight and run to the back I the store I guess. Nice to know I was in good hands last night:evil:

Did you have any limbs go down during all of that last night? I know another storm is headed our way late today or tonight. Haven't talked to any other neighbors yet nor have I walked around our yard but we were fine and unplugged all electronics.

Do you guys have a basement? Might need to use yours or someone else's if things get hairy.

According to WRAL, the National Weather Service got reports from law enforcement that tornados also touched down in a field near Highway 210 and Dell Meadows Road, 3 miles northwest of Four Oaks in Johnston County; and on U.S. Highway 70, a half-mile east of exit 326, 5 miles southeast of Clayton in Johnston County. Holy cow!

And they're saying to expect more severe weather tonight. Hubby and kids are in Philly for the weekend, so I'm not nearly as freaked out as I usually am when they start the tornado warnings.

    Best of luck to everyone!

Dang, no basement. Will have to go a few houses down if something happens. Yes, our next door neighbor's yard looks as though it snowed, as well. He has those same trees planted.

    Stay safe,
    Sherry
