The kids thought it was really cool this morning to see a peacock wandering around the neighborhood :) Anyone missing a Peacock? If so, you may find him hanging out in Waverly Point.

Hmmm, there is a peacock "farm"/breeder, what have you, across from Cleveland Oaks subdivision on Cleveland School Rd between Hwy42 and 50. I wonder if one wondered off during the storm last night?? Seems like a long way for a peacock to make it though...

Have you ever heard a peacock "yell?" That's the only way I can describe it! We stayed at a resort that had peacocks wandering around and they scare the daylights out of you if you don't expect it!

Soooooooooo not a cool pet-- that YELL is nothing like anyting I have ever heard in the BIRD family.
They are loud and can be mean as geese. They need loads of room and do best when they have a 'home' to go to at night (indoor safe shelter) - but you have to make a HOME that they will LIKE....

I know that Fred "the egg guy" off Rock Service Station Rd. has a peacock.

Hahahaha!! We actually live across from the "farm" on Cleveland School Rd and hear them ALL THE TIME. When we first moved here, I thought it was some creature being tortured somewhere! Awful noise.

I have a friend that lives in WP and she says that someone there owns peacocks, so it's probably not far from home.

I was wondering where that damn crazy bird got to!

Keep'em... he drives the llama and the lemur crazy.
