Hi guys! After a weekend of whiney kids not wanting to have to be dragged from store to store to find their sports equiptment, I've finally decided that it's best for me to "research" where we could go before I take them back out and make them miserable! Young guys just don't GET that you aren't the merchandising queen, nor was I born knowing where is the best place to go for the stuff! LOL!! My eight year old needs youth cleats, and if we could find wide sizes that would be a plus, but it's not the end of the world. We need them for tomorrow's practice, of course, and since we got everything else BUT the shoes it's not that bad, but I don't want to go to fifteen other stores looking for them. I'm right off of Cleveland School Road near Polenta Elementary, so Garner/Clayton/Smithfield area is all pretty accessable. Thank you SOOOO much in advance! I'm new to the "where to get sporting goods" here. LOL! Tiffany
We have (for 3 years now) been buying CLEATS used @ Kid Sales, thrift stores, etc -paying <$5.00. I keep 2 sizes in stock here at home, works for us- but requires year round 'looking'. My experience is that the little ones grow out of cleats after only one or two 6-8 week seasons so the shoes are like new but often dirty. We have found very high end brands for both soccer & t-ball/baseball at DEALS! Love a DEAL!
I took a couple of pairs to Joey's closet shortly after they opened. I am certain that I saw some already there at that time, as well. So, If you haven't found any yet, I would check there
I always get my son's cleats at the New Balance Outlet in Raleigh on Hwy 70 at Pleasant Valley Promanade. I hate the drive but it's so hard to find wide sizes. Seems like I pay around 30 bucks. I think they even have extra wide. Good luck! DB's wife
There are several places out there to buy cheap cleats.. http://www.closeoutathletics.com/Baseball Cleats/ http://www.baseballsavings.com/cust...=1100&sortmfr=N&a1000001320=youth&CP=ILC-MENU ($8.88) http://www.baseballsavings.com/customer/category/product.jsp?SUBCATEGORY_ID=1591 Depends on what you are looking for. Also, with cleats, they should be worn snug. Not tight but snug with socks on.
In the past we've gotten our at ****'s @ White Oak. There are some brands that are wider than others but I cannot remember which ones right now.
Check Ross out at White Oak they usually have a good amount to choose from. I normally get my 10 yr olds from there and under $18.
pretty bad we can't use D icks around here without being censored but Enlightened person is ok... Hello...... Let D ick live....
