My parents got this old cabinet from one of my dad's friends and I sanded it down some and repainted it with whatever paint I had on hand. We used it to hold medicines/tags/collars/wormer etc for our miniature dairy goats. When I first got it I was cleaning it and found old receipts from the early 70's that stated "Feed and Flour". You know we don't do that anymore. I also found an obituary in it of a female. I will check the goat barn to see if I kept that stuff, but I may not have. Anywho, within a week of having it I noticed at times I would smell perfume, like floral scented. No one in my house wears cologne or perfume due to one of our kids having breathing issues. I really didnt think much of it at the time until one morning before daybreak I went outside to smoke and as I was standing on the deck steps I seen a shadow moving across the garage wall and I assumed it was a bug crawling on the outdoor light but couldnt see one and so I kept looking at the shadow, then looking for the bug causing it etc and it slowly moved across the outside wall of the garage, then down across the shrubs and started across the ground. I was so "interested" in it that I just kept staring at it and then the outside light just knowing it just had to be the shadow of a bug crawling on that dang light up there. It came all the way over to the steps where I was and just disappeared. That's when I got scared and high tailed back inside. I didnt tell my husband about that incident for a while thinking he would just think I was either crazy or just "thought" I seen something. But then he started smelling the perfume every now and again and his words were "it smells like an old ladies perfume". Thats when I told him about the shadow and that I had a feeling it had something to do with the cabinet in the goat barn. We didnt tell our friends about it in fear they would just laugh or poke fun, but then here and there every now and again someone would be visiting and ask about the perfume smell. Creepy..so if that was bad enough it got to the point that stuff was flying of the mantle onto the floor, the radio would shut off by itself that is on the mantle. Oddly enough most everyone came to believe something was here and they all said it felt like someone was behind them, or staring at them when no one was there. It was mostly in my son's room, the one with the breathing problems. I thought maybe this spirit that is attached to the cabinet was possibly just keeping an eye on our son, almost to help us. But when things started flying off shelves and mantles my husband had enough (and he was not a believer in ghost before this at all!). He threatened to burn her cabinet...bad idea. Things got worse. So I consulted a spiritual friend and she said to tell the spirit we would not harm her cabinet but she must leave our house and go stay with her cabinet as she wasnt welcomed inside. I did as she told me and we have had no other problems inside from her, no perfume smells etc. But I still want the cabinet gone! So you can get it cheap...remember its old as the hills, nothing fancy. Its your choice if you want to put it inside your home but I am not responsible for anything that happens. I don't want it back regardless! As a side note...my mom was on her Nextel with my dad's friend recently (the one that had owned it previously) and I asked to speak with him. I told him I had a question about the cabinet and his response was "Your smelling her perfume aren't you?". Honestly, I am shocked I didnt faint when he said that. I his words validated what we thought all along. He said thats why him and his wife wanted it gone too. Pic isnt very good, but I wasnt about to move a bunch of crap to get to it. I should try a story like that to sell my bookcase. I have heard of ebay scams like that, not saying this is - but, hmmm.....
