I GOT ONE TOO!!! Wow...that makes 3 of us now. LOL You know, I also win a lot of lotteries too! And people want to give me their inheritance to do God's work with it. Just cannot believe how many people want to "give me money" for nothing. LOL
do you guys really open emails from unknowns? i am scared to death to do that, so i might have gotten it too but it will forever go unread:lol::lol::lol:
Mine usually end up in my spam folder, so I never get to see them. Just checked, but I don't have one this time.:lol: I do have a whole bunch of e-mails offering great sex, though. :jester:
Last night Dateline did a show about current scams, which are apparently netting more victims since so many people are unemployed and getting desperate. They interviewed a woman in the U.S. who was hired by Nigerian scammers to print out and mail the fraudulent checks, so that they would come from a U.S. source. It took her several months to realize that she was contributing to a scam. She said they employed several people in every state to do this. I didn't catch the entire program, but it what I saw was very interesting. I don't understand why they don't air PSA's about these scams. I think that would be a great way to inform people that they should never ever wire anyone money that they don't personally know, and that you can't win a lottery you didn't enter. So many people buy into these scams and it is just so sad.
I just can't believe there are so many horrible people in the world trying to scam everyone! I get about an average of one scam email/week for my cabin from someone trying to rent it. I know that's what it is because they give me too much personal information, then they want their "boss" or "parents" to send me a certified check. It really does get old. And now, as stated in the article, they're starting to say they're from the US instead of overseas, but the emails are all the same, so it's so easy to know, but you have to know what to look for... My first week of renting the cabin, 2 years ago, was the first email I got, and I was so excited because they were ready to send me the money right away, staying for a week (or longer, can't remember) but I had to send all my paperwork to them to England, which cost me a ton of money, and then within 2 days I got 2 more emails just like it from other parts of the world. That's when I realized it was a scam, and was out my postage, ($20) and upset because I was very close to being scammed!
