Breaking News: One Hurt During Home Invasion
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of an apparent home invasion. It happened at 12:20pm Wednesday on Watkins Road off Cleveland Road. Authorities are looking for a white older model four door car that fled from the scene with two black male suspects inside. A weapon was displayed during the home invasion. The homeowner was injured during an altercation with the suspects. Sheriff’s detectives are now on the scene. WTSB will bring you the latest developments on this breaking story throughout the afternoon.

I did read on aol that NC has the hightest robbery rate of all the states. i was actually surprised.

 

Yep Scary, see this more and more. Does anyone know a knowledgeable gun dealer in the area, that is honest and not going to rip off someone that does not know much about guns? Been talking about getting one for the house for a while now, sounds like it time to do just that.

They are off of Tryon road. They sell to law enforcement, but the public can also shop there. It's where my husband gets his stuff.

 

In lieu of a gun, can anyone recommend a good home security (alarm) company? We live VERY close to where this happened. I really thought this area was much safer, but in light of the recent criminal activity I'm beginning to realize that I was mistaken. How scary.
