Oh my gosh, this just gave me the willies!!! I cannot stand snakes at all. They totally give me the creeps. They just look so evil!!
Ever wonder what they think we look like? Especially my Mother-In-Law who will go fire up the lawnmower just to mow them down. :x
Thanks for posting the picture of the king snake. If I had seen that in my yard I would have been really afraid of it and probably would have had it killed thinking it was poisonous. Now that I know they are good ones, we'd welcome them. It's actually pretty! (I know I'm a freak.)
Your not a freak, I don't think this one is is so much as being pretty, but I do think some are. I'm not scared to handle snakes as long as I know they aren't going to bite me lol. I have had my share of friends who has them. My neice has one at my brothers house. I don't know what it is though. Sheri
We have killed at least 5 snakes in the past couple of weeks in our yard. There are several ring neck snakes around our place. They are small and eat bugs and such, but I like them dead no matter how small or large they are. My DH just killed a water moccasin just like the one in the picture. Dead snakes are the best snakes!
It is not only the bite that scares me, but I am always afraid that if I keep a snake in the yard it will wrap itself around me and chock the life out of me
Yuck!!! I really hate snakes!! Don't know why the heck I keep coming back to this thread. Glutton for punishment I guess.
Well, because Of the snake my sister won't come and look at the mower unless I push it up to the driveway, now that is up hill..and it's a riding mower..luckly I have neighbors that are working outside and I asked them to push it up there, took two of them boys to do it..how in the world did she think I could do it by myself lol.
You all did here they had a real "Snakes on a Plane" issue yesterday? 4 pythons got loose and they never found them. http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2009/04/snakes-on-a-plane-would-you-believe-pythons.html
She is pretty darn good, my brother is a mechanic..we have to listen to him sometimes so I guess we all pick up on stuff here and there. We got it going and got some of the yard mowed and the neighbors help get it started cause the battery was dead..well no one thought to check the oil and we think now we blew the engine...duhh! Just great! Sheri
CraigSPL, I have never seen a small snake All snakes look hugh to me, once they wrap themselves around your neck........ya can't get them off. Unless you have a pocket knife in your pocket.
