I know this has been a question that has been on going. But, I really need some help in making up my mind here. First of all I have looked into the Clubhouse and my daughter has been there for a party before, I found the kids were fighting over the slides and they got bored lol, yeah they did..that was two years ago. I think 170 is a high price to pay when I know there isn't going to be 35 kids. Plus I still have to bring the cake ect. Now my daughter is going to be 9, she is not girly girl. I have looked into Marbles, Ice house, and Interskate. I'm leaning more towards the Ice House and Interskate. My daughter has been to the Icehouse and loved it. Now she has never rollerskated before, so I'm not sure about that one. Marbles was way expensive, but it's a fun place. Ice house: 125.00 includes up to 10 kids, 1/4 sheet cake, Drink, Balloons, $10 bucks for games, invitations, goodie bags. If I up the cake to 1/2 sheet it's 140.00. My biggest concern was people willing to drive there for the party.(Never mind about the Ice House, they are closed till after May31) Interskate: 99.95 invitations, ballons, drinks, bounce house and a few other things as well, I would have to bring the cake. I need to know if anyone has done any of these places and what was it like and how did the kids like it? Funds are very limited, but I want her to have a great time. We didn't do a party last year cause of use going to Disney. Thanks so much! Sheri
We had my son's party at Kid's Clubhouse when he turned 5. It was fine except the facility could have been a little cleaner on that day. The only reason we went there was for the slides. We had been to several Pump It Up parties and that is what he liked the best. Pump It Up cost too much and was too far for our family to travel. The following year we did Premiere Athletics (Riverwood location) because we had several girls coming and they had both tumbling and bouncing. Both parties cost alot (~$150-175 each) for what you get because I still had to provide the food. We have not been to any skating parties. I am sure the kids will have a great time with whatever you choose!
I was looking at the skating (roller) cause I did speed skating for 5 years when I was younger lol, can't tell now. But, she asked about the ice skating and that stinks cause they will be closed. I really don't want to do the Clubhouse. I will ask her again and I might take her to the Interskate this Saturday to see if that is what she wants. I have never been there. Sheri
My kids always have parties at home b/c we could never afford to do the big stuff. Plus, w/ so many sibs, they wouldn't be able to invite but three other people for those club type parties. We have a moon bounce of our own. Best investment ever! (santa brought one year from ebay--LOL). We' have the moon bounce, pinata(always a hit), and cake & presents. The kids always have a blast. Pinatas I always get on sale for about $2 adn then fill w/ candy. Cake, I make it b/c my kids request that I make their own cakes instead of store bought. (keep in mind, I did used to work in a bakery though--LOL). We never spend more than a $100 on any of their parties and they've always had a good time. Might want to think about possibly renting a moon bounce. Would loan you mine but if finally busted a hole. Repair didn't hold. But, after 3 years, countless parties and usage, we got our monies worth for sure. Main thing is, the kids just want to have fun w/ their friends no matter where they are. And w/ a 9y girl, slumber parties are a HUGE hit (& cheap!) if you can put up w/ the giggles and screams for a night. One slumber party I bought spa type things for my girls to do w/ their friends, made a bunch of pizza and they pitched a tent in our living room. All were talking about it. Keep it simple and keep it fun. Trust me, whatever you choose to do, your daughter will remember the time w/ her friends. Good luck. stephanie--mom to 7
I thought about the slummer party, but I have animals, and some of the kids don't like them. SOOOO...I had a outside party when she was 6, had a tent, and I also got a slide/water bounce thing that I got for her that year. Thing is cool as all get out. I have used it twice since I got it, so far hasn't earn the money I spent. I spent more money on that outside party then anything else. Had over 20 invites, all said they would be there, and 6 showed up. :x The money spent on food, cake for that amount of people was a waste. I did build a bear once for her 7th and that was good, but I don't like doing the same thing twice. I'm going to do a sleep over when she is older, but I want it outside in tents, so I can scare them haha... Thanks for you tips, if she was girly I would do something like what you did with the sleep over, I wish I could do it lol. Sheri
Make and take pottery Adventure Landing Putt Putt (or whatever it is now, off of Tryon) A movie followed by ice cream at Stone Cold
Ah, Cleo is onto something. Forgot totally about the movie stuff we do. It's good for either rain or shine so works out well. Load up some of the kids, take them to the Howell($2 a show) and then out to icecream afterwards. Cake/presents at home. We've done this as well & is also well liked by the kids. One of my kids did a party at the pottery place once and had the best time. Only problem we had was you have to go back & pick up the piece you made. Hard for soem of the other kids to do so we just picked them up ourselves. Okay, now you all have given me a lot of choices for next set of parties as well. Good lcuk w/ whatever you decide and do tell us how the party goes w/ your daughter. What are her ideas on what she wants to do? stephanie--mom to 7
She said she didn't really know, she has a long list of friends to invite. lol So I threw a few things at her and she said the ice house first. Sheri

Yep this is where I'm going to have the party and I know my DD will want this, cause the Ice Skating party is what she asked for. I have already called them to make sure the weekend I need it is open and she said it was, and I will be going by there tomorrow to book it. What package did you do? I forgot to ask what size the cake was that was included, hmmm more I guess I need to ask tomorrow..I'm so excited. May is a really busy month for me, my neices birthday is on the same day as well..she will be 18, plus her prom on May 2nd. ohhh and of course mothers day...
If you decide on the Ice House in Garner I've got q-pons that came in the Entertainment book. Free Admission with the purchase of an Admission. I've got 3 q-pons. Just let me know.
I'm not sure if I can use them for the package! I would love to have them either way cause it would be good to use on a rainy day as well. Sheri
