Cool, There is a form you need signed by a friend, did you get that ahead of time, or did you bring someone with you??

 

I have to bring that form back, when I go to pickup the permit, pay when I go back as well.

Johnston County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a home invasion and robbery Wednesday afternoon in the Cleveland community. It happened on Watkins Road off Cleveland Road. An 18 year-old West Johnston High School student, who was at home on Spring Break, answered a knock on his door around Noon. Two suspects, one armed with a handgun, reportedly pistol-whipped the victim, bound him with an electrical cord, then took a cell phone and fled. Authorities said the suspects were wearing bandanas and hoodies. Deputies located the suspects’ getaway car minutes later on Indian Camp Road and detained two people matching the description of the alleged robbers. The two men were questioned by detectives then released. The victim of the robbery was treated and released at the scene for a cut to his head.

 

But it said they were "questioned & released". So were they ever charged?

 

pistols are crap for home security. in the heat of the moment even law enforcement hardly hit the target before fire is returned. best thing would be either a .410 shotgun if you are small or 12 guage if you can handle it. plus everyone know the sound of a pump action shotgun and that in itself is one of the best deterrents you could have

 

Pistols are crap??? What about the pistol toting jacka$$ robber??? what makes you think he's a expert shot. I will take pistol or shotgun and we'll see what the heat of the moment does to the jacka$$.

Furthermore, a LEO compared to a homeowner in their own home isn't a fair or true comparison. Half the time a LEO is pursuing criminal on foot with outside risks involved or busting into a joint. Harry homeowner is at an early advantage in knowing surroundings better than criminal.
