So it's fair to say you think Colin Powell is just as big of a loser for being part of it as well, right?

No, I think he lost his dignity when he was Secretary of State in the previous administration and presented all of that false information concerning Iraq. This is just a continuation of that situation, IMO.

Fair enough. I'm tempted to ask whether you think it was wrong for Obama to embrace him after presenting those facts as well, but I'll leave it alone.

I agree with you that it is hard to dismiss opportunity. I could have sued in two instances and won. I did not because I've been sued and lost.

I just feel we have taken this 'get rich quick' to new levels. A level at which it has become the normal standard for choice while ignoring the inevitable affect on our society.

I know what you meant about our society being driven by money. But, I think it's not the drive for money but the methods at which you obtain it. Money in our society has always been the reward for personal accomplishment. Wall Street was a great example. Was most of it legal? Yes. Was the method moral? No. Where the rewards based on accomplishment? No.

When you cast dignity and morals from the equation of obtaining wealth is the reward really a reward? Or is it just a windfall? And in your personal legacy do you want to hear "Personal Accomplishment" or "Windfall" as your prominent point of success? As it sadly stands, our society will vote windfall.

I'm sure that being in a union is what made all the difference in the world.

Yup, it's the sticking together idea. That's what unions are all about. If they'd been every man for himself, they probably would not have succeeded. Solidarity forever . . .
