Have any of yall sold a computer to one of those listings that you see on Craigslist where they want to buy your old or broken computers?

 

I gave mine away to one of them....one on here actually. His name was Joe.

 

Did you take all of your info off there or did he?!?! I have a laptop that the power cord part is broken and I just dont want to deal with it, not to mention that when I had roomates they used it all the time so it was slow!

 

There wasn't anything on it, but I asked him about that....just for my future disposals of computers....and he said he would/can do it, before it left my premises.

 

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT give them your hard-drives unless you have a specialized software that does multiple erases.

My hard-drives are either destroyed with a hammer or sent to a shredder such as CINTAS.

 

So this may sound dumb but can you just take it out and then give them the computer part?
