Who's got the strawberries?

Are any of the strawberry stands open yet? I heard there weren't that many strawberries for sale at the festival, but I really could use some fresh strawberries for a special cake this weekend.

 

We just went this morning to pick strawberries at Smith's nursery. Yummy!

 

Porters toward Fuquay Varina on 42 is open they are on the right hand side coming from 4042 (they moved from the left hand side of the road ) and the strawberries are goooood Get some ice cream too while your there. You can pick your own or buy theirs $10 a bucket and they have pints I think they are $3 something

 

Shout Out to Smith's Nursery & Berries on Sanders Road very near Raleigh Rd end. Semi near WJHS!

Plus they have Blackberries & Blueberries - pick your own
later in the summer! Mmmmmm!

I purchased my third bucket of strawberries in 2 weeks time this afternoon from Porter's...and of course, you just have to at least get a kiddie cone while you're there! :drool:

We got a bucket of strawberries from Smith's. They were yummy. Picked up a container of cream cheese fruit dip. They were gone in a day!

 

Can some one please tell me where Porters and Smiths is located? I would love to check them out plus make some jam.

Smith's is on Sanders Rd., right off Raleigh Rd before you get to WJHS coming from your house. Just turn right on Sanders, and you will see it on your left in maybe half a mile, if that.

Porter's is on 42, on the right hand side going toward Fuquay. They have what looks to me like a water tower in the shape of a big strawberry.

When I was at the Clayton Farmers Market in town two weeks ago, Smith's Nursery had a stand there - might save someone some time to stop there instead of driving to Sanders Road

you can give them your email address and they will let you know when veggies will be on the stand!

 

The farmers market on Lake Wheeler, has tons of strawberries:lol:
