Also please put signs on bright paper not just regular cardboard that blends in. Put large arrows on the signs. You have to display your items like the stores do not expect everyone to dig thru boxes. I learned about displaying items and what catches a customers eye in high school people. Not everyone are natural sellers like we are! Always have a friend that can count money have a yardsale with you, like KDC. One used baby sleeper that came from walmart is not worth $3! I have helped turn you into the snob that you are today KDC!
I agree, except that I don't price my items individually at my yard sales. I'm sorry, but I don't have time to price every single thing I bring outta my house. I do try to put a sign up for clothes (you know, pants $1, shirts $1, etc) but the rest of the stuff I don't price. Otherwise, I agree. And yes, I got irritated this morning and just stopped going and went to Target! LOL
oh dang, forgot to run by your house today, will be home all day tomorrow if you want to stop by for Michelangelo (yeah that's our nickname for it)
I don't price individually at my sales either. I have had prices changed out on me, and people argue with me about it! I price large items, and keep them in my line of sight, and not much else. And I don't start before 8 am, takes me til then to get set up. I don't know how others do it, my grass is still wet at 6am. I tried setting up the night before once, and putting tarps on in, but everything still got damp.
Another helpful hint for people that have a garage: I always set up my tables in my garage during the week of my sale so I can work on organizing my stuff and putting it out on the tables. Then the morning of the yardsale the only thing I have to do is just drag out the tables into the yard and wait on my friend that is always late!
