I am typical redhead.......pale and pasty, could walk to the mailbox and get sunburn. what fake tan in the bottle, can, or tube do you use? i have tried many and dont love any of them. what works for you?
I have used the Vaseline Intensive Care - I used the med shade and I thought it looked pretty natural. Just make sure that if you don't already moisturize your skin daily (legs/arms) - start doing that now, before you use the tanner - it will apply better and not look splotchy.
CF, you should go see T at T's Tanning at 4042. My DD started there a month before prom and believe me, she was pasty white too. T knows what she's doing and will start you off very slowly and work you up to a beautiful tan.
meshell.....it skeers me! i have a few friends that had skin cancer so i am frad of tanning beds and sun.
I certainly understand that. I was looking on Avon's website earlier today and they have some sort of bronzing lotion with moisturizer built in. You may want to check that out. I'm telling my age here, but do you girls remember the stuff we used to put in our hair called Sun-In? It was supposed to turn it blonde in the sun. Or what about Q-T? lol
Yep, I remember them. Q-T turned you orange....I remember having orange hands, even if i washed them. I used the sun in also. Dried my hair out big time. If they are still selling it, I am sure they have improved it. Avon had a good spray on tan, that I liked. May have to see about getting some more myself.
When I was in California, I went to the tanning salon and they gave me spray tan, which looked great on me. The tan stayed on my skin for no more than 2 weeks. Safe and easy. I do not know if anyone in or near 40/42 offer full-body spray tanning, any idea?
This is the closest salon to 40/42 that I know of that offers spray tans. I went there last year and I was happy with their service and results. It's located in that new plaza before you get to Wake Technical Community College. http://www.serenityspatan.com/make_up.html
Radiance Salon, behind Food Lion at 40/42 does spray tanning. I had it done before vacation last fall and loved it. Didn't last as long as I would have liked, but I was in the water constantly.
Sunsational Tanning in Clayton offers spray tanning also. I haven't tried it but my daughter who has worked there says people come out looking good.
