So you do not believe the courts have ruled on the constitutionality or more importantly the lack thereof?
Called BS on WHAT? Just saying BS means nothing if you cannot explain what you are supposedly trying to refute. Which point would that be? It seems there is a several day delay in coming up with a reply to posts, but without reference to the post being referenced not has it taken into consideration the other random posts made in the interim.
are you that stupid that one of us has to take you by the hand and continue to point out the obvious... Spin away... What branch of the service did you serve in.. still haven't answered that seeing how you questioned me about my service based on YOUR interpretation. plain and simple you were wrong to do that but as usual believe what you want there is no getting thru that ego...
No, if there is stupidity involved in the random replies itis not on my part. As I stated it is not my interpretation, but that of the courts. You knwo those people in long black robes whose job it is to make such determinations. You can assume there was an error but holding a belief nor stating belief does anything to prove that error. When one makes a point it usually entails more than stating a belief. There is usually something along the line of supporting evidence or documentation, except if you are below the grade school level of debate.
Let stupidity shine on spin doctor... you have shown it well on this subject... and apparently you can't comprehend what you're reading either as you so famously accuse others of. Let it shine.
The difference is I try to explain where you have been in error and you do not seem to even be able to state it in the first case much less try to explain where you may have been misunderstood.
Marriage is a contract between a woman and a man. So why attack Marriage? Why not create a diffrent contract with the state and federal?
As long as there was an equality in all of the appropriate laws, regulations, and statutes this would be acceptable under the equal protection clause. The question is whether those numerous changes are worth the effort to create another "separate but equal" scenario for marriage/unions.
I haven't read all the posts so this might be a repeat, but I heard an interview with Miss California on Hannity the other day. She said that she has had a lot of supporters - including the gay population. She said that many gay people said that Perez did not represent everyone. She said she is a Christian and she could not compromise her beliefs. That's what we all should do - no matter what your beliefs are - never compromise. When you look back on all this, Perez is the pathetic one. I'm sure he knew her beliefs before he asked the question. I need to pray for him.
Looks like Miss California might lose her crown due to a morality issue. http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/05/05/california.miss.california/
Smear campaign as I doubt these would have surfaced without the scandal, but no matter what even this will help keep her in the public eye the same way her answer scandal did. She's gonna make lemonade from these lemons.
You doubt they would have surfaced? Look at the number of other women who have had similar pictures brought out after winning similar competitions without any other scandal. For example: http://pageantcenter.com/miss_usa_articles.html Miss Lubbock USA 2008 Apologizes For Racy Photos Amanda Gass, 23, Miss Lubbock USA 2008, turned in her crown voluntarily after semi-nude pictures of her surfaced on a Lubbock nightlife website. The picture shows her at a Lubbock hot spot wearing nothing but shorts and body paint. Along with her crown, Gass is giving up all other prizes and scholarships she received for her win. --NewsChannel 11, Texas Dethroned Beauty Queen Thrown in Jail Former Miss Nevada Stripped of Title for Racy Pics, Accused in Las Vegas of Resisting Arrest. Las Vegas police stopped her around 3 a.m., a dethroned Nevada beauty queen, who landed in jail after the routine traffic stop escalated into an arrest. By David Schoetz, ABC News
You actually took the time to google these news clips? Look, the first girl had a crown to actually return, which CA does not. The Vegas gal was arrested, which is obviously grounds for stripping the title. Ms. CA's pictures were from her trying to be a model. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any beauty pageant contestant who doesn't have pictures like this trying to get a modeling job. The pageant made it clear from the time she gave her answer that they were "disappointed" in her so now they have the ammo to really take her down, which is what they will do. It shows what a huge joke the pageant world is - at least this one and it's directors. Oh and this is even better....the Miss California pageant paid for her boob job!! Miss USA officials don't have a problem with pageants paying for fake boobs, but you just can't show them off. LOL! http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/Miss_California__I_ll_fight_on_despite_nude_photos.html
Don't the candidates have to sign a morality contract when going for Miss U.S.A.? Seems to me that people say she was being honest in her response is great and she stuck up for the morals of Americans (not sure which ones) but yet she did not disclose anything she had done that would break the morality contract that was signed, if they have one. I think these pageants are so out dated and was thinking that they did not do the whole bathing suit thing anymore but guess I was wrong on that after seeing some of the photos and clips on the news.
