I swear I will never go back to that store again after tonight. 3 lines open, and from what it looked like in the food area you would have thought we were going to get 20 feet of snow. So we had to go to another store anyway, it getting to the point I would rather pay a bit more than deal with that store. I am all about saving money, but it gets to the point it just not worth it. Sorry to rant. Maybe the one at 40/42 will be better. :ack:

A new WalMart opened on the opposite side of KMart several months ago.

I find it hard to believe it's going to be open in 3 months. They're going to have a lot to get done by then.

Personally, I am back to boycotting Walmart as well. I had been going again for diapers and pullups, but I have not purchased anything from them in over a month. Last time I made it a year, my goal this time is forever!

I'm looking forward to the one at 40/42, now that they've widened the road to accomodate the extra traffic. Hopefully they'll two lane it all the way to the bypass, but to start with that area should be okay. I wonder if they'll put in a traffic light.

You can't beat the savings, so we shop there for most staple items. Grocery prices here are ridiculous...for the exact same list of food our monthly grocery bill has gone from $350-400 a month in a HCOL area to $650-700 a month! That's just insane. And we were getting mostly organic before, whereas now just to stay below $700 we're stuck with very little organic food. So if Walmart is willing to charge reasonable prices, I'll continue to shop there. I don't care about the rest of the politics.

Yep, a Wal-Mart at 40/42. The redneck gods have once again blessed this community with another bountiful harvest of tater-tots and toilet tissue so's we can all "live better". Caint wait till they get them shelves full and start rolling back some prices!

A friend of mine tried to use a manufacturers coupon at Wal-mart about a week ago and was told that they no longer accepted them due to how little they are making on the products now and the manu. will not honor them. Anyone else heard that??

I know, I was there last night as well. It's so frustrating to get there and find nothing you need. I believe the reason it was so low last night is inventory. They didn't restock the shelves making it easier to count.

Doesn't explain all the other times I've been there and can't find what I need.

I just wish we could get some other grocery store besides foodlion and maybe a Target instead of a walmart! Annette.
