I know everybody probably has too many pets as it is but I am desperate to find this guy a home. By all accounts he is a big lovebug and he doesn't have much time left. He is only six but they call him a senior at the shelter. These older guys are so great, so loving and grateful!
Amos needs a miracle and he is looking for an angel. He is in isolation at the Wake County Animal Shelter and being treated for an upper respiratory infection. The isolation room is very small and I am afraid he is not going to make it out of there. This is a desperate situation.
I am trying to find a home for this sweet older guy....Do you know of anyone looking for a new best buddy? He has lots of love to give! His time is running out at the Wake County Shelter as they are full....Please let me know if you can think of anyone or pass this one to others & ask them to contact me as soon as possible! A friend has offered a $50.00 sponsorship on him.
On behalf of Amos, thank you! I will try to get some pictures up.

are there any pictures of him? How big is he? When you say not much time..you mean if left at the shelter?

    Thank you.

I am hoping KDS Grandma can get some on here. IF not, you can go on CL under pets and type in Amos. He looks mostly shepherd but he is black with some white on his muzzle and chest and has white feet. I don't think he is as big as a full German Shepherd. I will post with more info later. Yes, as a "senior" with an Upper Resp. Inf.(easily treatable-I had a senior with one and she didn't pass it on to my dogs or anything) he won't have much time left in the shelter. Oh, and he is already on the meds provided by the shelter-I think he is almost done with them.

My heart is breaking for this pup...we have two cats though....and a 5yr old and 9mo old...would that be too much for him?

What a cutie pie! Wish I knew someone that wanted an older do Wish I could take him, but with 3 already and Starr only about 9 months old and still keeping me on my toes, just can't do it. I sure will keep my eyes and ears open.

Thanks for posting the pics KD!
Jellybean, he is about 60lbs. He came in as a stray so I don't know what to say about cats and kids. I have a senior right now who was a stray, though, and she is a perfect little house dog so you never know.

Awww! He looks sorta like the little girl that adopted us this past week. Hubby would kill me if I took another one under my wings. 8)
