We toured there and like the center, although you might want to check out the playground area after it rains, as it turns into a complete swamp. Anyway, we chose Little Stepping Stones II instead, but it was a close call and was mainly due to LSS being slightly closer and the playground area. My SIL does use them and her only complaint has been with the management. They do not accept any kind of criticism and can be difficult to work with. I did a little online research and found this to be the major complaint with this center. The teachers are great, but if you have to deal with the mgmt don't expect to get anywhere.
Trouble with Cleveland Child Care and Development Thanks for your replies. I was just wondering. Our child goes to this facility and latley every time we pick our child up she has an accident report. I know we have had at least 10 accident reports this year so far. I just feel like the teachers aren't watching the children.
I had my kids there while I was working (at home now) & I was overall pretty happy with the place. I had one accident report when my daughter fell outside, but that was it. The only thing I didn't really like was that there wasn't much of a security system, other than a sound system that tells you when somebody walks in or out of a room. In other words, anyone could walk back there where the kids are. Even my mom pointed that out, after picking up the kids one day for me...
Our son went there...Now he is at little stepping stones. They seemed too greedy and un-organized. We always paid a month in advance and we still got nasty grams stating if we don't by within' 48 hrs, our child wasn't welcomed back. On top of that, they suck for customer service. took 2 weeks to get our tax statement AFTER they said it was in the mail...I showed up, and low and behold...it hadn't been mailed yet.... In a nutshell...STAY AWAY!!!
LOL. That reminded me about LLS. A month or so after we left I asked dh to get a year end payment report for our tax files. No problem, he picked it up the next day. I take a look at the two reports (one for each kid) and they both have an ending credit balance. Huh? So I go back through each of our checkbooks and realize that there was one week where dh must have paid them in the morning and I paid them in the afternoon (it's just a drop-box). We had to call and go through the whole thing with them, and then they offered to send us a check for the overage. That would have been a nice little bonus for them if we had never checked (or asked for) the reports.
My son goes to Cleveland Childcare before and after school...and he loves it. I've never had any issues and they've been more than willing to work with us on several issues. I've never had anything but positive encounters with Ame and Sonya. My son loves it there and has been there for a little over a year, we came from Little Stepping Stones and I did not freel like LSS prepared him well enough for Kindy. I liked everyone at LSS, but felt that Cleveland Childcare focused more on what they would need to know for school. K
