Why would a responsible adult care where a road block is going to be?

so as maybe not to hinder their travel any more than necessary would make simple and perfect sense to me.

I'm thinking if they announced where they are going to be they may be less effective.

That was my point... They aren't going to tell you to where they are performing them at, just that they will be out there.

Or someone is going to be drinking and driving and they want to avoid getting caught. I'll take the inconvenience to keep them off the road.

Get a police scanner and listen in? I agree with putting the info out on where they are. Not to hide drinking and driving, but they are a pain. Plus they are a danger to other motorists since they usually put them in blind turns so you cant turn around to avoid them. If I see any, I'll be sure to put them on here.

Will those people who plan on drinking and driving kindly let us know where YOU will be? Too bad there is no such thing as a drunk driver scanner!

We've done the roadblock discussion before here http://www.4042.com/4042forums/showthread.php?t=22279&highlight=checkpoints, but I'll gladly let you cut in front of me in line as I don't mind an effort to get people driving under the influence off the road and will sit there as long as necessary.

That would be nice. Maybe like a sign on top of taxicabs. So when you've had too many, it lights up to alert others.

Alerting others to checkpoints is no different than blinking your lights at oncoming motorists that there is an office laying in wait ahead.

well you don't have to worry about us, won't be any drinking till we hit the beach, from then on i will not be held responsible but at least it will be walking:lol::lol:

yeah before your car could start you would have to blow into something and then the light goes on or not. better than nothing :) and I do understand trying to avoid roadblocks to save time, which I'm pretty sure all OP was trying to do, but there are that percentage of people who do try to find out for the wrong reasons, which is sad.

Girl you need to be careful too. The main roads at the beach I go to are not well lit. You don't need to be stumbling down the road in the dark so get back to the house before dark and then get sloshed.
