I'm having a heck of a time with my tailgate satellite. I have been attempting to set it up on various occasions for over two years now with no luck.

I would like to see if someone could test my LNB as I have troubleshooted every other possible scenario.

Well one problem is your network.... Direct has access to more satellites than does Dish, which should give a more consistent signal possibly...

I only need one satellite (119)....and I can't lock onto it.

What does Dish tell you or have you gone to them yet??? I may have a LNB if you need one. I could dbl check for you if needed.

Well the dish guy was out here one day to help with my house setup (I had upgraded to HD at the time) and I showed him my setup for tailgating.

I explained to him the problems I was having and he went so far to give me a pole and and a new dish. We never discussed the LNB but after using the new equipment this past weekend, and it ultimately failing, I have a theory that the LNB could be bad.

I feel this way because unlike the past, I had the mast perfectly plumbed and I used a compass to get my azimuth. I guess you could say I'm using the process of elimination here so I was wondering if there is a way to "test" the LNB.

If you have a functional Dish Plus LNB (it must be a Dish Plus), then I'll be glad to take it off your hands. :)

Thanks.......in the event you don't I still wonder if there is a way to have the LNB tested.

Is there a store around that could do it?

I'm sure they can, its just finding one to do it. The southside shopper has ads for dishes and you may find one of those businesses could help. I haven't looked at one though for a good year now though.
