wake county roadblocks

Freeman Park!!! My all time favorite place in the world. I dont have to lug chairs,coolers,etc. Just back right up to the water and pop a cold one and surf fish away the day. They've even got that guy that sells hot food outta his mutant RV/truck, and you can have pizza delivered. You can even grab a wireless signal from one of the hotels and get on here if ya want. How bout post the fishing report if you are down there Saturday early. I might have to zip up if they are biting.

will do and what you posted is exactly why we love it so much. A lot of times we camp there but this time since it is a special occasion we are staying at a friend's house over on Oak. Thanks for the tip about the wireless, never tried it down there:hurray:

 

I will be at Carrowinds with my wife and kids. Had no idea I booked it the same weekend as Memorial Day. Holidays seem to slip by me, anymore.

 

first of all they are not dwi checkpoints, according to the N&O, they are for seat belts and dls... as for wanting to know it is a time and work thing...

So I guess even if you are drunk they will let you go as long as you have your seat belt on? Just kidding, I get what you mean. I have been through several of these things over the years. They rarely put them on main highways and rarely during rush hour. If you do hit one it will only delay you for a few moments. Just make sure your belt is clicked and your registration is current.

 

It gets crazy busy on holidays, so I try to go early, & leave early. Good luck.

We have a place in one of the condos right by the beach drive access at CB. I was there last weekend and it was PACKED....and I mean packed. From the pier it was trucks and tents as far as the eye could see. It almost looked like a mirage way down at the end. I would get there early, early, early. Lots of traffice all night long past my bedroom window. Have a great time though. CB is my favorite spot on the coast.
