We're having some guests this summer who want to travel and stay in their RV. Are there any places in Clayton or Garner or in Johnston County to go camping in an RV? I've been googling, but haven't really seen anything too exciting. Jordan Lake is the only place I've been able to pull up, and it seems like it would be a good 30 or 40 mins away, which is a little far for a round trip everyday, twice a day, (we would be picking them up and dropping them off at night) while they are here. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
I had relatives stay in a place in Smithfield once a couple years ago. I think it was a KOA, not sure. They had a big RV, so I know it will accommodate whatever they have. Think it was pretty far out, like on the other side of Smithfield towards Selma, maybe? I didn't go see it, so not sure. Hope this helps...
RVacation (Selma & I95) When my parents come to visit, they stay at the RVacation (formerly a KOA) off of I95 near Selma. They try to stay in the back row near the pond which is actually very nice. There is a large field behind there as well. My parents have a 43' Fifth-Wheel and there are a lot of other large rigs that stay at this campground. The owners are wonderful - very friendly.
I recommend KOA highly. If they have a KOA kamper kard, they can save 10% on every stay. With the constant checks on KOAs, and their desire to maintain the excellent reputation they have earned, they'll do what it takes to keep them happy. There are other options, locally. I hesitate to recommend them. YMMV H6 *Seabee....thanks for the heads up. As it was helping someone else, not me, still shows a plus 1 in the Army column, a minus 1 for Navy...LOL :jester:
We good brother we good...:cheers: My day in the sun with you may come.. LOL one day...:cheers:
Ok Hat I'm going to take the low road, which I am familiar with at times:jester::jester: Actually here you go... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army-Navy_Game :cheers:
Didn't even look at the link. It may be West Point. I'm not a West Pointer. I was a troop leader with troop experience..wht you guys would call a mustang. But, I give you props for admitting we both take the low road, my friend. And, FWIW, it's an honor to have served with ya.
