I'd be pi$$ed, and probably let them know what I thought, but that'd be the end of it. But then again I'm that type of person as well. Craig
Oh, I let her know. Relatively politely, but I did express myself this time. I just try to be fairly easy going with the family most of the time, don't make waves, etc. So I'm sure she probably thought it was no big deal at the time, that I wouldn't care. She has apologized, but it just really aggravated me. Probably didn't help that DH's BIL & sister pretty much did the same thing, the same week. But whatever. I kinda felt like chopped liver. This has helped though, LOL. Therapy via 4042.
I think they should have called and explained to you that they had extra people with them and they didn't want to impose and THEN invited you to meet them for lunch (their treat, of course) so you could have at least seen them and visited them for a while. Shoot, we keep moving so my in-laws will hopefully FORGET where we live
Too right...this weekend, we have a command performance and inspection by none other than...wait for it...my MIL, whose invited her regal self here.. (see Post # 10 http://www.4042.com/4042forums/showthread.php?t=24774&highlight=Mother's+Day ) When she drives by from Down East to Crabtree and doesn't invite herself over, we celebrate. Finally, LOML told her highness that she was an adult as well, and wasn't going to put up wit the Momma Drama anymore. Made life much less stressful on us.
Trust me, I have no luck whatsoever. I won't win. Just doing my part to support the Education Lottery, LOL.:jester: But if I did...................................
You ain't just whistling Dixie! LOL First thing I'd do is change my number, move and leave no forwarding address. I have more relatives than you can shake a stick out, and 99% of them would be beating a path to my door.
