I feel.....

    really crappy.

    I lost my job today. I knew it was coming. WCPSS put us all out.
    any suggestions???

    What is WCPSS??? If I was to guess Wake County public school system... or am I off.

    Sorry to hear about that by the way... Keep as positive as you can and hope it all works out.

    As a teacher or in a different capacity... I thought if it was teacher that there are needs for them in a lot of places...

    I know it's a bummer, even if you're expecting. Here's hoping something better than your old job turns up real soon. Keep your chin up.

    Sorry to hear that slater. We were told a couple weeks ago that a reorganization is coming and some folks would lose their jobs. That is all we were told.

    The details won't come to light until the end of this month.

    We don't have the school/student numbers yet for JoCo. And with talk of delaying the opening of the two new high schools, the need for teachers is not yet known. Without those teachers (and support folks..custodians, TA's, office folks, cafeteria staff, school staff, media) being fully utilized, there may be no new openings. And, given the current economy, I'm sure that many folks are rethinking retirement now.
