I was 34 with my first and 36 with my second. I'll be 45 on Wednesday and I should be rocking grandbabies by now. I figure they'll have to bring them to visit me in the nursing home
Nah! Good things come to those who wait. IMO, it's better to have your kids a little later, you are more settled! DH and I were married over 8 years before Andy came along. That way, we didn't feel like we were "missing out" on anything. Caveat: Nothing wrong with younger parents, most of them do a great job, but personally, I am glad I waited some.
:iagree: and thanks for your input on my original though process. You know I want to be KDC when I grow up.
I have very high aspirations! thank you very much. you take that compliment woman!! And nsane, I plan not to grow up either. I had my kids when I was 31, so I waited till later too.
Hmmm...let's see you had them at 31 and they will soon be 13......that makes you........ Craig
I had mine when i was 20 and 21. Looking back, I'm glad I had them early. I couldn't imagine having little ones now.
I graduated frum Clayten Hi skool bak in 91 and I caint spell or talk to good. But I can do sum simple math....veery simple math.
See..........different strokes! DH was active duty Air Force when we were first married, so many of our friends were having babies left and right. I just wasn't ready then. Kudos to those that were!
Woooo!!! Don't be calling yourself old at 45!!! I will be 47 this year and I don't think I should be rocking grandbabies...I am not ready for grandbabies yet!!!! My son will be 20 on the 7th and DD will be 17 in Sept. I don't feel as old as I am. Not only that, my kids' friends think I am cool and don't mind hanging out here and sometimes the will come in where I am at and sit down and chat with me leaving everyone else outside or wherever they are at. LOL
Yes, girl it's alright as long as you or another adult are around. My baby will be 12 in a couple of weeks.. and I'd "die" if she wanted to go anywhere with a boy...I'm just not ready for that one. Now the 15 yo is occassionaly dropped off with a group of friends for the movies, but not very often Are you ready for your babies to have girlfriends? I'm just not ready for mine yet (thank GOD she's a tom boy and isn't into them YET):jester:
