UPDATE!! I took her to Dr. Basden, and she is severely dehydrated and she has a pretty bad intestinal blockage...they are giving her fluids and hoping that the blockage will move. If not she is going to have to get surgery. Her intestines are looking pretty mad right now, so please keep my baby girl in your thoughts and prayers... I have no idea how I am going to pay for this, but I cannot let my fur baby suffer...thank you my dear friends.. Please help if you have any suggestions...God Bless
Have them check for toad poisoning. Had a vet in Missouri that told me to force feed mashed bananas when my animals would not eat. Seemed to work every time. Put them in a large hypo with no needle and squirt it in their mouth.
VSH will be where most vets will probably recommend. Have you called the Vet school at NC State? I know some people have gone there as well. I would think that VSH could work out a payment plan or something, but maybe the Vet school is cheaper. I am SOOO sorry you are going through this. My Boomer got really sick and after a lot of money spent still did not get better. VSH was really wonderful though and they did know what the problem was. I know how this is going to consume you right now, but I'm sure everything will be fine and don't want to scare you about Boomer, but want you to know that I just recently went through the very same stress and being scared so if you need to PM me feel free.
Toad poisoning?..I never would have thought....the other two dogs in the back yard are just fine...it is only her, which makes me even more weirded out.... Harley, Does Dr. Basden do anything like payments or whatever? I took my other girl to her once,she is awesome!...just don't know if she will help me with Cheyenne.... I am so worried about my girl... VSH was great, just had no idea what was wrong, and really expensive...and no payment plan or anything!
